At the newly ended ICANN conference in Morocco it was decided that ICANN will be held in Copenhagen in 2017

At the ICANN conference last week a transition plan for the IANA stewardship from the U.S. to a multi stakeholder model was presented. The U.S. Government is open towards a transition of the IANA stewardship. The plan is now sent to the U.S. Government. Read more here
ICANN is the organization that governs all IP addresses and TLD’s in the Domain Name System through the technical organization IANA.
